Hi Soccer Parents,

Thanks to all who participated in our survey last week. We received helpful guidance on expectations for the Fall season. Attached is the Fall 2020 Registration Announcement.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, July 28, we are opening registration for the Fall season.  For those parents that rolled over their spring registration fee to fall, Scott will be emailing you over the next couple days  your individual coupon code for registration.  The primary email address in your registration account will be used.

As we all know, there is tremendous uncertainty around what our season will look like. The season could resemble our typical season with league games around the Mountain region against Delta, Montrose and other mountain towns. Alternatively, the season may consist of team practices and intramural scrimmages only with no contact outside Telluride.

As an organization, we follow the guidance of Colorado Soccer Association (CSA), and our state and county health officials. Currently, CSA is accepting team registrations for the fall season and intends to offer league competitions. We are going to include a question for each family/kid as part of registration to understand willingness to travel per child and will take that into account as we make decisions for each team. Assuming we have enough travel-willing players to fill a team, we will register with the league. Of course, in the event guidelines change, or even if families are anxious about league games, we will remain flexible. Our priority is the health and safety of our community. We also would like to note that if we are able to travel, but a family does not feel comfortable doing so, that will be fine. We are confident we can provide a challenging and fun experience irrespective of travel preferences. 

Regardless of which path we pursue, we are looking forward to a GREAT soccer season. Our administration and coaching staff are working hard to prepare for the season, and are excited to get the kids on the field playing soccer. We can't wait to have all the kids in Town Park on a beautiful fall afternoon playing soccer! 

Please register at your earliest convenience, but no later than Wednesday,  August 5, 2020. Early registration ensures we register the right teams with the league (by Friday, August 7, 2020), and staff the age groups appropriately.
